Local Area Points of Interest 
Egan Chute
Is located about 10 kms east of Bancroft, off Highway 28. Recently designated as a Provincial Park, it remains in its natural state. Here the York River rushes through the rocky sides of the chute with thunderous roars. This is a collecting site for corundum and other minerals.
Eagle's Nest Park
Located in Bancroft at the northern edge off Highway 62, this park provides a panoramic view of the York River valley and area.
High Falls Dam
North of Bancroft about 6.5 kms is the Baptiste Lake South Rd, from here, you follow 2 kms to the High Falls Rd. A winding 2 km trip through the beautiful forest takes you to the dam that controls water levels in the York River and Baptiste Lake.

The Gut
Take Highway 620 to just west of Coe Hill and then follow Wollaston Lake South Rd. about 12 kms past the 1864 Mission House, cross a single lane concrete bridge over the Crowe River and turn left at the top of the steep hill, follow about another 2 kms where there is a parking area.
Crooked Slide Park
This log chute is located on the waterfall at Rockingham Creek. Located off Crooked Slide Park Rd, just past the junction of Highway 62 and Highway 515 in Combermere.

Kamaniskeg Lake Lookout
14 kms north of Maple Leaf, Ontario off Highway 62N, this park lookout gives you an extraordinary view over one of the most beautiful lakes in the area.
Crowe River Conservation/McGeachie Park
About 1 km in from the highway, on the north shore of Steenburg lake, off Highway 62 south about 8 kms from the Highway 620 junction, is a gorgeous marshland with forest trails. There is a public beach adjacent.
Conroy Marsh
Made famous by group of 7 painter, AJ Casson, this unique wetland is named after Robert Conroy (a local timber man). This 2400-hectare wetland area, off the Madawaska river, between Boulter and Combermere, is rich with diverse plant and animal life. A crown game preserve. One of the best ring-necked duck sites in Ontario. By boat, from Boulter or Combermere, on the Madawaska river.

Madonna House- Combermere
A rural apostolate founded in 1930. Madonna House has re-vamped old style buildings and established interesting shops. They display an eclectic selection and sell arts, crafts, books, antiques, collectables and other interesting items.
Opeongo Trail:
St. Mary's Church Wilno: This impressive twin spired Church was built by local craftsmen and is every bit as inspiring as the famous cathedrals of Europe. It rests on a rise of land, in the hills of Wilno and overlooks one of the most breath-taking views. Also, on the grounds and built along the terraced lawn is a beautiful stone grotto- dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes. The 25 foot high Jubilee Cross marks the occasion of the year 2000 Jubilee. The rustic, wooden walk in the gardens marks the 15 Stations of the Cross
