Property Buying Tips
Typically, you can afford a home that costs up to 2 ½ times your family's gross annual income. Save your valuable time by getting pre-qualified for a mortgage before you begin your home search. See your bank for pre-qualification.
Cancel unused credit cards; hold off on major credit purchases; consolidate loans; takes these steps now to fine tune your credit rating before applying for a loan or mortgage.
Location is STILL the key ingredient in selecting your home. Selecting the right location can make your life far more comfortable and can protect your investment from devaluation due to an unfavourable event such as growth, zoning changes or reputation. A good Realtor will help you with finding the right location.
There are many details, which should be factored into making an offer on a home or property. Writing the offer incorrectly could cost you thousands of dollars on appliances, services or other attached indoor or outdoor items that you "assumed" were part of the home.
